Tired of the To Do List? But not..This time, I lead you, you only have to follow, either in the order or in the disorder…
And especially you can also add your ideas for the weekend in the comments (right down at the bottom!) for the friends of the blog with whom you want to share your good plans for a well filled Easter weekend! Because the Easter weekend marks the opening of the tourist season and nothing is better than knowing the things not to miss as disclosed by the local inhabitants. I give you a few of my good ideas not to miss.
Start the day with a visit to the Forville market
the most beautiful market of the Côte d’Azur.
This covered market which the Halle dates from the 1930’s, is the heart of the life of the center of Cannes located just behind the Old Port, and there are all the ingredients of the kitchen from Cannes, all provided by producers of the region, in a very “local” atmosphere. From noon (more or less according to the envy!) you can take an aperitif on one of the terraces that surround the market and enjoy the atmosphere.
Pick-up luxury finds and vintage
On the flea markets on the promenade of the Allées de la Liberté every Saturday and Sunday, opposite the Old Port or the Forville Market every Monday from 7:30 am through 5:30 pm
Flea Forville Market
Take advantage of the fashion events at the Cannes Shopping Festival
On Friday evening starting at 6:30 pm, fashion shows in a festive atmosphere start the evenings.
It is the opportunity to be an actor and spectator in the world of fashion with a beautiful souvenir photo taken on the steps of the red carpet. A weekend of fashion, starting at 6:30 pm, we climb the steps, we pose in front of the photo-call, then a fashion-show in the most beautiful room of the Palais des Festivals.
Sunday evening we can carry on with magnificient dance shows provided by the Jazz Ballets from Montréal (in purchasing a ticket for the show, you can benefit from an invitation for 2 people to the fashion show – subject to availability)
Treat yourself to greens-fees on one of the 11 golf courses around Cannes
For my part, a lunch on a beach to watch the sea shining and the seagulls dancing, a large walk along the beaches of the midi or a ride to the Lérins Islands to celebrate Easter in the Abbey of the Saint-Honorat Island
At the end of the afternoon it will be Pétanque (bowls game) on the Allées or Place de l’Etang.
A visit to the Christie in the Carré d’Or, the festive borough of Cannes to end the evening.
Happy Easter!!!! And tell us about your projects and ideas to complete this blog which will always be able to help our friends and visitors discover Cannes.
